A boy with autism, who was often tied to a chair and expected to sleep upright, died after he was given ice cold showers and allegedly put in very cold temperatures in a garden shed. The boy’s death on August 1, 2016, came after his parents turned to using ties and packing tape to restrain the boy as they “were not coping” with his behavior, a court has heard.
